Uttarakhand Quan Ki Do Association Formed in Dehradun

Dehradun, Uttarakhand (Ishan Samvad).
The Uttarakhand Quan Ki Do Association was formally constituted during a general body meeting and election session held at Spillway Eco Resort on Maldevta Road, Dehradun.

Organized under the aegis of the Quan Ki Do Federation of India, the meeting aimed at expanding and promoting the Vietnamese martial art Quan Ki Do across the state and forming a new state executive body.

The meeting witnessed participation from martial arts trainers, technical experts, and distinguished members from districts including Dehradun, Haridwar, Tehri, Mussoorie, Kotdwar, and Nainital.

During the election process, Anil Kumar Srivastava, former Executive Engineer of the state government, was unanimously elected as State President, while Vishal Kashyap, a Black Belt trainer in Quan Ki Do, was elected as State Secretary.

In the second session, the newly elected leadership expanded the state executive committee.

• Dr. Sumit Sabharwal, Dr. Aman Damir, Avneesh Bharti, and Siddharth Bhandari were appointed as Vice Presidents
• Piyush Srivastava (Managing Director, Ved International School, Dehradun) was appointed Joint Secretary
• National medalist Ishika Singh was named Treasurer
• Gagan Bhandari (6th Dan Black Belt, Haridwar) was appointed Technical Director
• Former national player Anmol Chaudhary became Referee Chairman
• Sanjeev Chaudhary was appointed Head of Discipline Committee
• Shalini Bisht and Bushra Ansari were assigned responsibilities for the Women’s Committee

Observer Amit Kumar Singh from the Quan Ki Do Federation of India stated that the entire election process was conducted in accordance with the federation’s constitution and rules.

He further informed that the newly formed Uttarakhand association will soon receive official recognition from the federation, and formal certification will be issued as per the directives of CEO Satish Dhull.

Several members including Sonu Thapa, Ashish Kumar, Praveen Khimta, Prashant Kumar, Shivraj Chauhan, Vineet Tyagi, and Akash Bhardwaj were also present.
