Ajit Pawar’s Son Parth Faces ₹1800-Crore Land Scam Allegation in Pune – Deal Cancelled, Probe Intensifies, Opposition Demands Resignation

Mumbai (Sanjay Rai / Ishan Times), A major controversy has erupted in Maharashtra’s political landscape as Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s son, Parth Pawar, faces allegations of a ₹1800-crore land scam involving the purchase of government land in Pune. The issue has sparked a fierce war of words between the ruling Mahayuti alliance and the Opposition.

Ajit Pawar defended his son, stating that Parth was unaware the land in question was government-owned. He confirmed that the ₹300-crore deal has been cancelled and that the state government has ordered a high-level inquiry, with a report expected within a month.

Ajit Pawar Defends Son “Parth Was Unaware”

After meeting Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar told reporters that Parth Pawar and his associate Digvijay Patil were unaware that the land was government property.

“The land is government-owned and cannot be sold. My son did not know this. The entire registration process and responsible persons will be investigated,” he said.

Pawar added that Parth’s company, Amadia Enterprises LLP, did not exert any undue pressure on officials.
The FIR names three individuals, including Digvijay Patil, but not Parth, as only those three visited the registrar’s office to sign the documents.

₹300-Crore Deal Cancelled, ₹1800-Crore Loss Alleged

The controversy revolves around Pune-based government land allegedly purchased at below-market rates, causing a potential ₹1800-crore loss to the exchequer.
Ajit Pawar stated that the ₹300-crore deal has been completely nullified, denying any direct involvement by him or his son.

Opposition’s Fierce Attack — Calls for Resignation

The Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) have seized upon the issue, demanding Ajit Pawar’s resignation, calling it “a glaring example of family-driven politics.”
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said,

“This is yet another example of corruption under the Mahayuti government.”

Probe Panel Formed — Report Expected Soon

Given the gravity of the matter, the state government has formed an inquiry committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue) Vikas Kharge, tasked with submitting its report within a month.
Ajit Pawar assured the public,

“No one involved will be spared, no matter who they are.”

This case has added a fresh twist to Maharashtra’s political scene, intensifying the battle between power and opposition.
Whether it curbs dynastic politics or fades into yet another controversy remains to be seen.
